Malaysia sents troops to protect ships in Gulf of Aden

KUALA LUMPUR (AFP) — Malaysia has sent crack troops and navy ships to the Gulf of Aden after two of its vessels were seized by pirates last month, according to reports Wednesday.

The comments by deputy premier Najib Razak come after the country's shipping giant MISC Berhad said Tuesday it had barred its vessels from the area, where two of its tankers were hijacked by armed pirates in August.

The area has seen a spate of attacks in recent weeks, with eight ships taken by pirates since the end of July.
"Our primary concern is the safety of our sailors," Najib was quoted as saying by the Star newspaper.
Malaysia's armed forces chief said the military had sent two warships to the Gulf of Aden last Saturday to monitor the situation, the Star reported.

Najib told the paper that negotiations between the pirates and representatives from MISC had not progressed much, with troops and naval vessels sent to protect another four of MISC's ships in the area.

The Bunga Melati 5 with 41 crew -- 36 Malaysians and five from the Philippines -- was seized last Friday off the coast of Yemen carrying 30,000 metric tonnes of petrochemicals.

Ten days earlier, the palm oil tanker Bunga Melati Dua, with 39 crew on board, was hijacked off the coast of Somalia. MISC said late Tuesday it had finally been able to regain radio contact with the Bunga Melati 5.

Malaysia's foreign ministry has set up a special unit to monitor the situation while appealing to authorities in both Yemen and Somalia to ensure the crew's release, state news agency Bernama reported. It said the pirates had reportedly demanded a ransom of three million dollars for the return of the two ships and crew.

Mukjizat di sebalik BISMILLAH

BISMILLAH adalah sebutan/nama singkat dari lafaz "BISMILLAHIR ROHMAANIR ROHIIM" yang bermaksud "Dengan nama ALLAH Yang Maha Pengasih lagi Maha Penyayang."

KELEBIHAN-KELEBIHAN BISMILLAH
1. Yang pertama ditulis Qalam adalah BISMILLAH. Maka apabila kamu menulis sesuatu, maka tulislah BISMILLAH pada awalnya kerana BISMILLAH tertulis pada setiap wahyu yang Allah turunkan kepada Jibrail.

2. "BISMILLAH untukmu dan umahmu, suruhlah mereka apabila memohon sesuatu dengan BISMILLAH. Aku tidak akan meninggalkannya sekejap mata pun sejak BISMILLAH diturunkan kepada Adam." (Hadith Qudsi) .

3. Tatkala BISMILLAH diturunkan ke dunia, maka semua awan berlari ke arah barat, angin terdiam, air laut bergelora, mendengarkan seluruh binatang dan terlempar semua syaitan.

4. Demi Allah dan keagunganNya, tidaklah BISMILLAH itu dibacakan pada orang sakit melainkan menjadi ubat untuknya dan tidaklah BISMILLAH dibacakan di atas sesuatu melainkan Allah beri berkat ke atasnya.

5. Barangsiapa yang ingin hidup bahagia dan mati syahid, maka bacalah BISMILLAH setiap kali memulakan sesuatu perkara yang baik.

6. Jumlah huruf dalam BSMILLAH ada 19 huruf dan malaikat penjaga neraka ada 19 ( QS.AL Muddatsir:30).Ibnu Mas'ud berkata: "Sesiapa yang ingin Allah selamatkan dari 19 malaikat neraka maka bacalah BISMILLAH 19 kali setiap hari."

7. Tiap huruf BISMILLAH ada JUNNAH (penjaga/khadam) hingga tiap huruf berkata, "Siapa yang membaca BISMILLAH maka kamilah kekuatannya dan kamilah kehebatannya."

8. Barangsiapa yang memuliakan tulisan BISMILLAH nescaya Allah akan mengangkat namanya di syurga yang sangat tinggi dan diampunkan segala dosa kedua orang tuanya.

9. Barangsiapa yang membaca BISMILLAH maka akan bertasbihlah segala gunung kepadanya.

10. Barangsiapa yang membaca BISMILLAH sebanyak 21 kali ketika hendak tidur, maka akan terpelihara dari gangguan syaitan, kecurian dan kebakaran, maut mendadak dan bala.

11. Barangsiapa yang membaca BISMILLAH sebanyak 50 kali di hadapan orang yang zalim, hinalah dan masuk ketakutan dalam hati si zalim serta naiklah keberanian dan kehebatan kepada si pembaca.

Legal Issue on Contract Law in Malaysia - Good for us to know

Do you notice that most of the time, the receipt / invoice you received from the merchant carries this exclusion clause or similarly worded
statement: " Goods sold are not returnable" or "No refund once
sold".

Please remember that : " As long as your goods is purchased for home
use and not for business (i.e. to be resold), the above exclusion clause is VOID.

That means, as long as the good is defective, regardless of what is
worded, you CAN get back all your money spent . You do not have to
accept a repair on the good or an exchange. You CAN ask for a refund.
AND you are LEGALLY right and entitled to!

And most of the time the merchant will refuse to return you your money.

You can threaten the merchant with four words: "SEE YOU IN COURT!"

The court here refers to the Small Claims Tribunal Court. Any goods
which is worth RM25,000 and below can apply to this Court.

However, you don't have to tell them what court! All you have to pay is
RM10 admin fee and the loser (the merchant) will have to refund you
the money PLUS the admin fee!

I have seen that most educated people are cowed by such unfair wordings (which includes a few of my friends).

Pls try not to let the merchant fleece you the next time you have defective goods.
